The moment

A moment is all we have,

it will be over at any moment

If only we could have one more moment,

to hold your hand, to look you in the eye and express our love

We now yearn for that  moment,

The one that that passed, the one that became one to late

For some this moment has come and gone,

for the rest it is not yet here

We do not know when that moment will arrive,

but once it does it’s it is done

I promise to love you each moment,

so when yours comes you will still know love

I promise to love you each moment,

so when mine comes you will will still know love

I wish this moment to never come,

alas, the moment will not be stayed

Cherish every moment,

not only as if it were your last, but as if it is the last moment to share

The friend I never asked for

She came to me, unannounced,
unadorned and without a care.

with her passion, her scorn,
her aloof demeanor.

She was of two minds, silent watching and ever sharing,

fire in her eyes,

a soft careful touch,

when I was sad and alone,
she knew what to do.

knew what was needed,
and how to share.

Her soft purr, and pitter pat,
I miss you much my faithful cat.

You touched our hearts, our souls, our inner being,
you cared for us, and we for you.

We named you pokie, short for polka dot,
we love you for ever more,

I miss you, as I say goodbye,
sadness overwhelms me, the sadness of a friend leaving

Forever,

and yet being,

Forever,

in my heart.

You are leaving, but we will never part.
souls intwined,
love mingled,

your so dear to me, I hope I am the same,
As I hear your purr, the purr that kept me sane.

You were there to fill a hole,
and as you leave a new one opens,
Sad, and yet not alone, so long as I remember yoru love,

to so many you played a role,
helping us,

You are loved, and not alone,
we are with you forever,

Have you ever loved?

Have you ever loved?
It is difficult to say,
have you ever watched someone sleeping,

Breathing softly, without a care,
with no knowledge of your idle stare.
Seemingly free, soft and kind,
with dreams of, who knows what in their mind,
Their soft breath, slowly flowing,
in the dim morning light, skin is glowing.
The gentle felling of your tenderness,
goes unnoticed, as you gently caress.
The feeling welling up inside of you,
deep, meaningful and oh so true.
Have  you ever loved?
Hmmmm I wonder.

Concert

I went to a concert today,
a symphony of all my senses.

I sat on the beach, the wind gently blowing,
the sun ever glowing

The scent of a fresh sea breeze,
holding my attention with ease.

The heat caressing my skin,
and a palm bushes movements holding me in.

The taste of salt in the air,
as if I was the only one there.

The cool of the wind gliding by,
brought a tear to my eye.

A roaring ocean, wave after wave,
makes for a concert many will crave.

Blowing, glowing, salty, roaring, and free,
laying and enjoying, a part of it all, just letting me be.

Awakening

I sat in silent contemplation, thoughts racing in my head.
I had just breathed in and let it out with a sigh.
Soaking in what had been said,
molding the words that had lifted me high.

It was then, that I awoke,
not that I was sleeping, a deeper awakening than that.
I was the reforming of the words you spoke,
The truth from within came welling up from where I sat.

I had been trying, it was so clear,
to unleash my inner rages
Yet it was difficult to surmount my fear,
but, , , what if it could happen in stages.

What if my torrential rain,
could come down one tear drop at a time.
to release the held back pain,
and cleanse my soul and ease my mind.

What if my love, held back so long,
could shine out ray by ray.
To glow from my body like a song,
and glimmer a bit every day.

And this is when I knew what to do,
my path became oh so clear.
Share my love, within anew,
releasing my pain, and sharing my cheer.

Today I have awoke,
because you got out of bed.
It was due to words you spoke,
and how I arranged them in my head.

Thank you so very much,
now that I have found a gentle way to share
For me, and all those I touch,
Thank you for the way you care.

I am not alone

Fear not for me, I am not alone, I am here with others, with all who have come before me  and all who have yet to come .

Life is for a short time, but eternity is, by its very definition, forever.

I am forever now, and I am not alone.

It was my time to leave, though it may be hard for your to understand, please know it was my time.  Leaving as I did was my only choice, I left of my own free will, not to punish, not to hurt, not to do anything, but to move on.  please believe me, I am not alone.

I am a part of all creation, part of all that is, that was and that will be.  Do not pine your life away for me, rather change your tears from sadness, guilt, loss back into the feelings of joy, love, forgiveness and peace.

I am not forgotten, therefore I live on,

I am fee, and all I wish for you is to be free as well.

be free, love, learn, play find your destiny, remember me with fondness, kindness, love.

I am not alone, and never shall you be while my spirit dwells in your heart.

I love you,

Be free

The perfect hand in cribbage

In the game of cribbage I have held the perfect hand,
Some of you may understand.

15-2, 15-4, through, 15-16 laying in a line,

a pair for 18, 20, up to 28, and the jack of suits makes 29.

A good hand indeed, but I have held better suit,

I know what you’re thinking, he is just being cute.
Cause nothing beats 4 5’s and a jack of suit,
and though your right, the point is mute.

The best hand I have ever held in cribbage, and this is true,
was the hand offered to me, by you.
